Lives Ablaze September 5-6

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to take advantage of an incredible weekend this Labor Day at Glorieta for the annual Lives Ablaze Student Conference. John Evans is the featured evangelist and worship will be led by Addison Road and the Skit Guys will be there. Cost is $64 per person and includes conference, lodging and meals. Sign up NOW! UNDERGROUND to meet SATURDAY AT 5 P.M. THIS WEEK!

Just a reminder that this week only we will meet SATURDAY night at 5 p.m. at the church for UNDERGROUND. Bring a little cash and after the games we’ll head over to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Invite your friends…we have lots of great things to share, including Lives Ablaze, the Retreat and a free movie opportunity coming up right after school starts.

Mark your calendars for September 24-26, 2010 and plan to attend our annual Fall Family Retreat at the beautiful Glorietta Conference Center. Registration is a 2-part process:
Step 1: Contact Glorietta at 800.797.4222 to reserve your room. Roomsare $79 per night for a deluxe with 2 Queen Beds. Deposit of one night’s rental is required.
Step 2: Fill out your Soul Rio Registration including attendees and extra activities desired.

Baptism/BBQ Update

We’ve moved the Baptism/BBQ to July 25 at Haynes Park and Pool at 5 p.m. Sign up this weekend at church to bring your favorite side and/or dessert. Hamburgers and hotdogs, as well as lemonade and tea will be provided. If you have any questions about baptism, see a pastor or Rio Link leader

Lives Ablaze summer youth camp for students currently in grades 6-12 will take place at inlow.  June 28-July2.  Sign Up Now.  $50 deposit is due by May 25.  Total cost for camp is only $180, but Soul Rio is offsetting the first $40 for each camper, making the cost only $140 per person.  We will also have some partial scholarships available.  If you would like to consider helping a with a scholarship or sponsoring a Chaperone, please contact Floyd or Pam.  Campers can begin making installment payments at anytime.  Call Pam at 792-8737 if you have any questions.

If you haven’t yet attended Class 1.0 our membership class, please come May 16 from 3pm-5pm.  We’ll talk about for things that unite Soul Rio as a family.  Our Salvation, our statement, our strategy and our structure.  Childcare and a light supper is provided.  Please sign up right away at the information table or contact the office at 792-8737 for more information.
