We live in a society that loves to worship. To worship means to show that someone or something has worth in your life. We show worth to that which is valuable to us, and we show value with our words, time, and gifts. So everything from sending a birthday card to renovating the kitchen are forms of worship–they are ways in which we attribute value to people and things.

No person or thing is more valuable than God. God created the world around us (Genesis 1:1), and every thing good in our lives is from Him (James 1:17). God also sacrificed His son so that those who believe will be saved from the consequences of sin and gain eternal life (Romans 6:23). Worshipping God keeps our eyes focused on Him. It keeps us from placing more value on the stuff around us than on God. It also gives Him the opportunity to work in our lives.

We invite you to worship with us this weekend. We’re not concerned with how you’re dressed or how much you know about church. All you’ve got to do to experience God is to be open to experiencing Him.

How do we worship at Soul Rio?

We believe true, heart-felt worship should lead to an encounter with God. Worship is not a consumer event, but something for everybody in the community to participate in.

How should I dress?

Soul Rio has always been a “come as you are” church.  Jeans, shorts, or ties are equally welcomed.
