Jesus
demonstrated in a painstakingly practical way the kind of life
He wanted His disciples to live. A life of humble servant-hood,
where His followers would do the things that normal, selfish,
prideful people would never do. In John 13 the Lord of the universe,
the Creator of the world, humbled himself and washed dirty feet.
Then He said “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed
your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have
set you an example that you should do as I have done for you… Now
that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
That’s what I love about Soul Rio the most.
This church is full of humble servants that have decided to
not just talk
the talk, but walk the walk, and live like Jesus.
We’ve all been blessed. And we recognize
that God is the Blesser. We become a blessing to the world
around us when
we
reflect the heart of God to others. In a huge way, the dream of building a community center in Rio
Rancho is following the example of Jesus to serve and be a blessing
to our community.
We live “In the Zone” by learning to receive God’s
many blessings as gifts from God, and turning around and reflecting
the generous nature of God to others. We pray that every person
in the Soul Rio family will live “In the Zone” and
I’m looking forward to joining you in this great adventure.
