THE ZONE? ”
A – Bottom line: to build our faith
and be a blessing to our community. Financially, we need commitments
of approximately
$20,000 each month for 36 months, in the form of monthly commitments,
in order to get started on financing the building of the community
center.
Q – HOW
MUCH MONEY ARE WE TRYING TO RAISE?
A – The total anticipated amount
in cash and monthly commitments is $600,000 over three years.
We pray that our
cash offering
on March 11 will approach $75,000.
Q – WHAT ABOUT “GET IN THE GAME” OFFERINGS?
A – “Get in the Game” was the first phase of
our process and allowed us to be able to purchase our land. “In
the Zone” is a whole new campaign to complete the payment
of our land and give us the ability to build the community center.
Q – CAN
WE DO THIS?
A – No doubt this is a huge endeavor – too large
for any one person or only a few people to tackle alone. Together,
through large and small commitments, we can reach our goal and
see the community center become a reality. In six months the
SR family gave $100,000 for our land. If you multiply that by
six (over a three-year period) you can see that this goal is
certainly attainable with God’s help.
Q – WILL
MY CONTRIBUTION BE MADE PUBLIC?
A – No, only the total of ALL commitments
received will be announced. All giving and commitments will
remain confidential.
Q – WHEN
WILL THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION BEGIN?
A – We anticipate beginning construction
on the community center by the beginning of 2008 (less than
a year from now).
Construction could be completed by the summer of 2008 (just over
a year from now).
Q – IS IT OK TO GIVE TO “IN THE ZONE” INSTEAD
OF TITHING?
A – Your commitments to “In The Zone” should
be above and beyond your normal giving (tithing). It would be
counterproductive to sacrifice our day-to-day ministry and outreach
at the expense of any offerings given to “In The Zone”.
Please maintain your regular giving, while going above and beyond
for the community center.
Q – WHAT
IS THE ESTIMATED COST OF THE PROJECT?
A – The total facility is 30,000 square feet and includes
a state-of-the-art gymnasium, theatre stage, kitchen, fitness
rooms, game room, computer room, locker/bathrooms, and two stories
of youth/children’s classrooms and conference rooms. The
cost to build Phase I is approximately $1.5 million, which will
include the completion of the gymnasium, theatre/stage, the first
floor, paving and landscaping. Completing phase one will allow
us to occupy the building. The second phase will be the completion
of the second floor. The construction process will allow us to
build an excellent facility while utilizing the many gifts and
services of our own contractors.
